Ooh my first ever blog!
Hi everyone.
I’m Michelina aka Autumn Noir, I’m from Kettering in Northamptonshire, I’m a mum of three lovely (crazy, funny, loving) children, for the past 12 years to my pleasure, my life and jobs have revolved around their time table and I wouldn’t change a second of it.
This year I knew I had to do something for me, I wanted to provide but work to my
own schedule and do something that made me happy, happy mum = happy family.
Then I found Burlesque Chair Dance! And a lightbulb flicked on, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I’ve always loved the dancing, the outfits, the sexy attitude, all of it, but hadn’t thought about teaching until now.
That was it, I had tunnel vision, I practiced as much as I possibly could, learned as much as I could and then taught as many people as I could desperate to pass these exams. On doing so I was overjoyed. My next goal was to have a good size class. 1 day after passing said exams I made my first post on facebook, well Northamptonshire, especially Kettering went wild! I couldn’t leave my phone at all for about 3 days, I was constantly messaging people, accepting those that wanted to come to class into my group, and trying hard to organise venues and class times. My poor family then got spammed with new images every time I had to make a new timetable advert, and thanks to the amazing ladies here… that was a lot! By that Friday I had 5 classes set up!
On the Wednesday after I passed I held my first class in the corn market hall, kettering. A lot of ladies said they would come, but I was level headed and still would have been happy with a nice intimate group. I walked into my venue and thought to my myself “gosh they have put out a lot of chairs, we won’t use all of them” boy was I wrong! While dishing out membership forms I heard “we don’t have enough chairs” wow!!! 28 people came to that class! It was exhilarating I was absolutely buzzing, I was a little nervous to do my first demo and of course teaching a big group as my first class, but they were AMAZING! I will never ever forget that! I got applause, they got applause, it was a very uplifting wonderful group, and it just went on from there.. I had to add another class straight after. It’s been a whirlwind and I’m loving every second.
So much more
For me this is now so much more than just a dance fitness class, as much as we all love it, I want to bring women together, build their confidence, give them some ‘me’ time! So many people have been messaging me and we have discussed their insecurities, these same ladies have proved to them selves that they can do it, they can get out there and try something new, improve their fitness, tone up, have fun, do something a bit sexy.
I’ve chatted with ladies that would NEVER do something alone and yet they have came to my classes by them self & they are making friends. This fills me with such happiness and such pride.
I was also very surprised and happily emotional to see my class hadn’t been blogged about by a lovely lady Shelley who attended my second ever class, please do take a peek using the link below:

I hope this continues on and we all build these friendships as we build our confidence.
I’m only at the end of my second week but already I know I’m on the right path and I couldn’t be happier.
Thanks for taking the time to read about the start of my journey
