Hi, my name is Kelly aka Miss Autumn Star. I have a working background in leisure management and course coordination. I also have a teaching background in swimming, synchronised swimming, diving and Pole Fitness. I’m an ex gymnast and also swam and competed for my home town of Orpington.
In 2009 I was fortunate enough to travel the world that changed my outlook on life, and in 2015 I had my beautiful baby boy. However two years later I found myself in a very toxic and abusive marriage and finding the courage to leave took everything I had in me. I finally hit rock bottom and found myself in a very dark place feeling frightened and worthless and needing the support from the women’s refuge.
I stumbled upon Burlesque Chair Dance UK late 2018 and found the strength to contact the instructor and eventually built up the courage to go to a class. I was very reluctant to go but after the first class I was hooked and haven’t looked back.
Burlesque Chair Dance UK is the best form of medication anyone could ask for; your troubles just melt away in an instant and it makes you feel alive, empowered and free. Burlesque Chair Dance allows you to breathe and watch the world disappear whilst growing as a person. There is also a real sense of community and sisterhood, and I have made wonderful friends.
Becoming a Burlesque Chair Dance instructor is very much a journey to find myself again and is a huge stepping-stone in helping me rebuild my life. I want to help women build their confidence and help them learn to love themselves through the love of Burlesque Chair Dance UK. So, come and join us, I cannot wait to meet you!
