Hello, I’m Rachael AKA Classy Miss Sassy!! Excited to be sharing my love of Burlesque Chair Dance classes with the lovely ladies of Burton!

So a bit about me… I work full-time for the NHS and as demanding as it is, I do enjoy it. I ditched the husband a couple of years ago and am now loving life again. I’m 46, mum of 4 and a glammy to my 2 beautiful grandchildren. I hit my 40s and felt like I needed to find myself a new passion in life, the first step was to lose some bulge and find my confidence again. I’ve tried and tested loads of things, Zumba, aqua fitness, karate, and the gym; although the weight was coming off and confident Rach was re-emerging, I didn’t have a passion that pushed me enough. Consequently, I started pole silks and loved the art of feeling sexy and owning the sass, but unfortunately. I had an accident and wasn’t able to do it until I regained the strength in my shoulder again, but that was when I discovered Burlesque Chair Dance! My life improved for the better and has never been the same since.

To me, Burlesque is my time where I can be myself. It’s a time to have a break from being a mum, a fixer, a cleaner, a housemaid. It’s my hour of being amongst fabulous women who also have a passion to enjoy themselves. Together we laugh, we sweat, and are all supportive and non-judgemental. A bonus is we also get to burn calories in a fun way! Win-Win!!!

So, I thought to myself, why not become an instructor and let more people share this awesome feeling?
